Actor Alec Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges in connection with the shooting of a cameraman on the set of the 2021 western movie Rust.
Baldwin, 64, waived an initial court appearance that was supposed to explain his future rights to the 30-year-old rock actor, according to court documents released Thursday.

Baldwin was released without bail and reportedly agreed to court terms prohibiting possession of weapons (including firearms) and consumption of alcohol. Gutierrez-Reed claimed that after verifying that the gun Baldwin fired had a dummy cartridge loaded, he handed it to Rust’s assistant director, Dave Halls, who handed it to Baldwin.
