One
always
wishes
to
be
a
part
of
a
project
that
not
only
allows
an
artist
to
showcase
his/her
craft
but
also
give
a
platform
to
strike
a
chord
with
the
audience.
When
you
are
making
you
debut
with
a
film
helmed
by
Hansal
Mehta,
you
can
expect
to
shine
on
the
silver
screen,
isn’t
it?
Filmibeat
caught
up
with
Reshham
Sahaani
over
a
cup
of
coffee,
discussing
several
aspects
related
to
her
film
and
career.

Reshham
made
her
Bollywood
debut
with
Faraaz,
leaving
a
strong
impression
on
the
audience.
From
sharing
two
cents
on
how
to
shine
in
a
project
that
also
features
a
star
kid
to
opening
up
on
her
extensive
prep
session,
the
actress
barred
her
heart
out
in
an
exclusive
interview.

Here
are
excepts
from
the
conversation.

Q-
How
was
your
experience
filming
Faraaz.
How
did
you
prep
for
the
role
Ayesha
in
the
film?

We
had
a
three-month
long
workshop
for
the
prep
where
we
studied
Islam
and
recited
surahs
from
Quran
Sharif.
I’m
so
grateful
to
have
gotten
an
opportunity
to
learn
about
Islam
as
a
religion
because
it’s
beautiful.
We
used
to
offer
Namaaz
and
I
used
to
listen
to
Tajdar
e
Haram
and
a
couple
of
other
songs
and
Amar
Sonar
Bangla
(Bangladeshi
National
Anthem)
for
inspiration
as
it
was
important
for
me
to
know
about
Bangladesh
as
well
so
I
read
a
bit
about
it.

It
was
actually
Hansal
sir’s
perspective
more
than
ours.
I
am
actually
a
director’s
actor,
how
he
sees
the
world
is
how
I
execute
it.
He
asked
us
to
be
in
the
moment
and
feel
all
whatever
was
happening
around
us
as
victims
of
the
attack.

Q-
How
does
one
stand
out
when
you
are
debuting
with
people
who
belong
from
the
film
industry?

You
will
undoubtedly
stand
out
if
you
are
true
to
your
skill
and
put
in
your
heart.
People
will
notice
you
and
your
work.
For
me,
being
true
to
my
character
and
presenting
it
to
the
audience
in
the
most
honest
way
is
more
important.
I
want
my
acting
to
do
the
work
rather
than
trying
to
make
myself
shown
to
the
audience.
The
kind
of
audience
I
want,
they’ll
notice
me
for
my
craft
and
that
is
all
I
want.

Q-
Any
dream
role
that
you
have
on
your
mind?

All
I
want
to
do
is
explore
genres
and
work
to
create
something
which
people
connect
to!
It
will
eventually
happen
over
the
next
few
years.
I
have
a
bunch
of
dream
roles,
I
want
to
do
an
action
movie,
and
I
also
want
to
do
a
toxic
love
film
or
something
like
a
period
drama.
I
would
also
like
to
play
a
crazy
serial
killer
and
at
the
top
of
my
head
would
be
a
female-centric
film,
and
the
second
would
be
an
intense
love
story!

There’s
so
many
things
I
want
to
do
(laughs)
I
have
recently
watched
a
few
films
from
down
South
like
Love
Today
and
Joji
to
name
a
few
that
is
the
kind
of
cinema
I
want
to
do!
I
would
love
to
work
down
south
and
obviously
learning
a
new
language
isn’t
a
barrier
for
me!
I
speak
like
3-4
languages
right
now
and
I’m
learning
one
at
the
moment
which
is
Spanish!
