I am a proud Albertan and Canadian. Canada is a place I love, but I am ashamed of the ones currently leading the country. No morality among themselves, only interests, lies and deceit. So called intellectuals like Justin and his fellow creepy characters.

(Some of what goes on is certainly embarrassing.)

Oil should pay for cleanup

While Albertans are struggling to afford groceries due to inflation, Danielle Smith has graciously decided that you should pay the oil companies to clean up their orphaned oil wells, which they are legally obligated to do anyway. The oil companies who are gorging themselves on record profits and stock buybacks will be rewarded with thousands of dollars of your tax money for being deadbeats, while you, the Albertan taxpayer, will own nothing and be happy. Thank you for your sacrifice.

(Companies should do what they are obligated to.)

No substance here

Re: Bell: Nenshi weighs in on election

Don’t you love left-wing politicians, or former ones at that. They love talking, like heavy weight experts on the subject, but really say very little of substance. You can’t take their words of wisdom to any bank. They all seem to love the media attention and limelight, of course. They seem to have this great insecurity of being quickly forgotten, once they are out of the political realm.

DONALD K. MUNROE

(Something about the sound of their own voice comes to mind.)

Talking heads

It would be really interesting to know who is  REALLY in charge of running and controlling North America? It must be clear to anyone that neither the incoherent, confused and senile Joe Biden or the dimwitted, posturing, pretty boy Justin Trudeau don’t have the mental capacity or intelligence to do so. Would be nice to know who is controlling and pulling strings of these two marionettes.

(Some like to think experts are listened to, but that may be optimistic.)

China’s interest has to go

How does Justin “Little Potato” Trudeau react to the news that there was Chinese interference in the 2021 federal election? He denies any knowledge or wrongdoing, and then tries to shift blame to the whistleblowers. We’d like to be a fly on the wall the next time he has a conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. He’ll probably get another dressing-down from his boss, this time over his failure to keep sensitive secrets. Beijing’s man in Ottawa could be in some very hot water!

JOANNE and WAYNE MORCOM

(Any foreign interference in Canada’s affairs needs to be removed.)
