He said he never saw a moose hunter’s jeep there.

Diddle and Arthurs said Martell was a friend of the Moosehunter and lived with her in her basement. Witchekan testified that Martel was imprisoned for about two years. She told McDougall that a close friend of Moosehunter told her that Martel owed money to drug dealers and that they were looking for him.
She testified that her sister stopped visiting her father because Martel was jealous of the man who lived across the street.
“That’s why they fought over this issue,” Witchekan said.
Lois Prosper said she was Moosehunter’s best friend, but she emailed Moosehunter at 8:32 a.m. Tuesday and said when she wasn’t at her job, she said He asked where he was, she testified. The response displayed on the courtroom screen read, “I lost my phone.”

The two women worked together at Fire Creek Gas and Grill, the court heard. Prosper said the last thing she heard from her friend was her text message sent the day before she died.
