OPP’s execution of a search warrant on a Leamington residence on Monday yielded numerous illegal items and substances — including guns, knives, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Tactical response officers and members of the Essex County OPP Community Street Crimes Unit conducted the raid on Monday at a location on Sturgeon Meadows Avenue.
Several firearms and edged weapons were found and seized.
An evidence photo released by OPP showed the weapons ranged from small folding knives to machete-style blades.
Along with the suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, police also found quantities of prescription medication and cash, with a total estimated street value of $70,000.
One Leamington male — Johnny Peter Fields, 22 — was arrested.
Fields faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (three counts), possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (six counts), unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts), unauthorized possession of a weapon, careless storage of a firearm or ammunition (three counts), and more.
