ANKARA, Turkey( AP) — Turkey’s defense ministry says the first boat carrying Ukrainian grain will set off from the harborage of Odesa on Monday.
The ministry says the Sierra Leone-flagged weight boat, Razon, which has been loaded with sludge, will depart Odesa for Lebanon at 0530 GMT.
The ministry statement said other vessels would also depart Ukraine’s anchorages through the safe corridors in line with deals inked in Istanbul on July 22, but didn’t give further details.
Russia and Ukraine inked separate agreements with Turkey and the theU.N. clearing the way for Ukraine — one of the world’s key tummies to export 22 million tons of grain and other agrarian goods that have been stuck in Black Sea anchorages because of Russia’s irruption.
The deals also allow Russia to export grain and diseases.
